Summer Scholarship Review
Each term, undergraduate and graduate students set up a table for the Scholarship Review. Senior faculty spend one day looking at work and adding comments to guide the student going forward. Scores from the Review are collected and submitted to the Financial Aid Office for additional scholarship funds.
It’s an extraordinary way to have a snapshot of the program at that moment. In addition to aiding the students with feedback and possible scholarship funds, the Scholarship Review gives the leadership and faculty the opportunity to see places to improve. Typically, the work is exciting, inspirational, and individual in tone and personal point of view. But, when those pesky typefaces du jour find a way in, the faculty can head them off at the pass, or better yet, in the classroom.
